Click the graphic below for Part 1 pdf.

In this new issue of Fashion for Real People, you will find
fashion and sewing ideas to update your Fall 2011 wardrobe. Part 1
starts out with the look of the season. Pati's daughter,
Melissa Watson, is now on board as a contributing editor.
Follow Melissa on her blog...
You'll also see breaking news about an exciting new designer who was an
intern here at Palmer/Pletsch in 2009. Amanda Grisham recently
won the Emerging New Designer award at the 2011 Portland Fashion Week
for her designs using Pendleton blanket wools.
PART 2:

Part 2, our “Sewing with Pati & Marta”

our favorite garments. Look for the sections on contour waistbands,
tips for shirring, a guide to fitting knits,
sewing for full-busted women, and fabric drape and ease.
And don't miss the 2011 Summary of Tissue-Fitting Order for the
Basic Bodice on page 17
in Part 2..
As always, we are interested in your comments!
And we'd love to see what you're sewing. Email pati@palmerpletsch.com.
NOTE: The pdfs linked above are each 1-5 megabytes in size, which
gives you the best photo quality and color. They may take a while to
load.

| Each part of Fashion for Your
Figure is a separate Adobe Acrobat pdf (portable document file). Because
our pages are filled with fashion photos and illustrations, it may take
a while for Adobe Acrobat Reader to bring these pages up on your
computer unless you download the files to your hard drive (see
instructions at right). We do appreciate your patience, and hope
you find the wait worthwhile!

Note: You do not need Adobe Acrobat --
just the FREE Acrobat Reader. The free version available at their
web site is version 4.0, even though it doesn't say that on their web
page. This newsletter is designed to be ready by version 4. You may have
problems if you have an earlier version.
If you already have Acrobat Reader but are getting
error messages, you may want to try to reinstall it from their web site.
We suggest you uninstall your current version first.

Is the viewing too slow? Consider downloading
the pdf files to your hard drive. It will be the quickest way
to view these documents, but it takes a little planning, and room on your
hard drive. Download each file. Different servers will have you
follow different instructions. On a PC you start by right
clicking on each of the Parts above. Some servers have you download
"link," others ask if you want to download "target." After they are
downloaded go the the directory on your hard drive where you
have saved them and click on the files to view the newsletter. Adobe
Acrobat Reader will open them.
We suggest doing the download at a time when you can be
doing other things, too. It may take a while! But when you finally
sit down to look through the issue, it will go quickly from page to
page. When you are done, either delete the file, or save it for
future reference. We do ask you to remember... this is copyrighted
material.
