Welcome to the
Spring/Summer 2009 issue of
Fashion for Real People!
In this issue you will find our Editor’s Choice section with the newest
Palmer/Pletsch patterns. Look for them to be the backbone of your new
Spring/Summer wardrobe.
In our Season’s Pattern Pick section we have chosen a wardrobe of
wearable separates for each body type. Our selections are from the
current spring & early summer McCall’s, Butterick, and Vogue pattern
books.
You will find fabulous sewing tips and ideas in the popular, Sewing with
Pati & Marta section.
We hope to see you at our upcoming Palmer/Pletsch workshops in Portland,
Oregon.
You will find the list of workshops and their dates on our website at
http://www.palmerpletsch.com/workshop.htm.
All the best,

We welcome your comments and suggestions.
Send an e-mail to Pati.

currently available
Palmer/Pletsch patterns for McCall's,

visit our pattern web page.
NOTE: The pdfs linked at the left are each 1-3 megabytes in size, which
gives you the best photo quality and color. They may take a while to
load.

| Each part of Fashion for Your
Figure is a separate Adobe Acrobat pdf (portable document file). Because
our pages are filled with fashion photos and illustrations, it may take
a while for Adobe Acrobat Reader to bring these pages up on your
computer unless you download the files to your hard drive (see
instructions at right). We do appreciate your patience, and hope
you find the wait worthwhile!

Note: You do not need Adobe Acrobat --
just the FREE Acrobat Reader. The free version available at their
web site is version 4.0, even though it doesn't say that on their web
page. This newsletter is designed to be ready by version 4. You may have
problems if you have an earlier version.
If you already have Acrobat Reader but are getting
error messages, you may want to try to reinstall it from their web site.
We suggest you uninstall your current version first.

Is the viewing too slow? Consider downloading
the pdf files to your hard drive. It will be the quickest way
to view these documents, but it takes a little planning, and room on your
hard drive. Download each file. Different servers will have you
follow different instructions. On a PC you start by right
clicking on each of the Parts above. Some servers have you download
"link," others ask if you want to download "target." After they are
downloaded go the the directory on your hard drive where you
have saved them and click on the files to view the newsletter. Adobe
Acrobat Reader will open them.
We suggest doing the download at a time when you can be
doing other things, too. It may take a while! But when you finally
sit down to look through the issue, it will go quickly from page to
page. When you are done, either delete the file, or save it for
future reference. We do ask you to remember... this is copyrighted
material.
