Pati Palmer began designing for Vogue Patterns in 1976. In 1980, she
switched to The McCall Pattern Company and has continued to design for them for the past 22
years. Much of her pattern input been pretty revolutionary in the pattern
industry, such as a fit pattern with five fronts, one for each bra cup size; 1"
seam allowances to prevent fit disasters; tissue-fitting instructions; alteration lines printed right on the tissue; and
fitting-as-you-sew your fabric instructions---all based on over 30 years of hands-on teaching
experience. Pati has also surrounded herself with great advice from other
sewing pros who author Palmer/Pletsch books and teach Palmer/Pletsch Sewing
Workshops. Palmer/Pletsch patterns are available from retailers who carry
McCall's patterns.
