The Cool Summer Dress
This dress can be sewn from either knits or woven fabrics. It is super comfy, yet has style. Choose from four options including lengths, overlays, and asymmetry. The necklines and armholes are professionally lined to the edge with an overlay or facings. The narrow hems are topstitched. You can also roll edge the hems on a serger. Because the neckline is low in front and back, you can just pull it over your head.
Description
Many patterns work for both knits and wovens, especially if the knit is more stable. Use your normal pattern size for both. A stretchy jersey will drape beautifully in this design, but read our tips for tissue-fitting that type of fabric.
