PAMELA LEGGETT’S CUSTOM DRESS FORM 1-DAY WORKSHOP • SEW-OP
Pamela Leggett is making a rare West Coast visit and we’re the beneficiaries!
Thursday, April 20, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Pati Palmer says, “From the moment I met Pamela Leggett in one of our workshops about 30 years ago, I knew she would become a nationally-known instructor. She began designing a line of her popular “Pamela’s Patterns” which have some built-in common alterations and she uses them in teaching throughout the US and Canada. She also teaches Palmer/Pletsch 4-day workshops in Connecticut. Pamela is an outstanding teacher and makes her classes fun. I’ve known and loved her for her contagious personality and quality instruction. We are so happy to sponsor her in our new sewing school.”

Make a Custom Dress Form—the perfect replica of yourself. Well-known sewing educator and pattern designer Pamela Leggett will be in Portland to offer this class.
A dress form is a useful tool for garments and design. The problem is getting one to fit all your curves and “scallops”. Custom made forms are expensive and can’t be easily altered, and duct tape forms collapse over time. In this class, we will use an adjustable form that you will “build and pad” to look just like you! Other than the dress form, the supplies are simple – a bra and undies, batting and fiberfill, and some bandaging from the drug store. The best thing about this form is that with the skills you learn in this class, you will be able to change the dress form as your body changes! We’ll finish the form with a custom cover. You will now be ready for your fitting and design challenges.
Dress Form Kit—$45: This includes batting, fiberfill, taping, cover. You will pay Pamela directly during the class.
You will need to purchase your own dress form in advance of the class and bring it with you. Click the button below for more information and additional supplies needed. No sewing machine is needed. Sergers will be provided in the class.
